Why do I only have 2 screens on my ipad2

I have an ipad2 that I recently had to have restored due to it being disabled for several months. Now I only have 2 screens to put apps on instead of the 4 I previously had. I did notice that it has updated to iOS 8.1.3. Does this have anything to do with the loss of screens?

No. If you have apps that cannot fit on the two current screens, another one will automatically be available. You can also drag a current app icon past the second screen to create a third.

The number of screens is directly related to the number of apps/folders you have set up... as you fill screens - another one will be added automatically.
