Why can't I download all of my purchased music at one time from iTunes 12?

I select all and then songs and the biggest list is recently purchased which only allow 250 download list. After that it makes you go artist by artist to download the individual songs for only that artist.

For library maintenance on a large scale, iTunes is really the way to go - get everything on computer, then sync to your device.
