Why am I having so many problems with Aperture and iPhoto since upgrading to Yosemite?

I shut down my computer for a couple of weeks and used my iPad while on vacation. nothing wrong with iCloud and my albums on there. Coming home I backed up and then upgraded to Yosemite.

Now my iCloud photos will only partially upload on Aperture ( IE only 3,000 out of 15,000) and only partial albums. same thing with iPhoto.

I have closed, rebooted,changed Preferences, rebooted,. for both Programs.

it shows synchronizing sometimes, sometimes not. I have left it open for 3 days with the same result.

I know that the photos are on the cloud as they show on my iPad.

any answers greatly appreciated

I don't know why that's happening to you. Is it possible that Aperture and iPhoto need updating to work properly with Yosemite? I don't use either with Yosemite so forgive me if the question seem foolish.
