how do I increase the volume on my phone?
The volume up and down buttons react depending what app you are using. If you want to increase the 'ringer' just click the volume up button or head to Settings>sound and toggle the handle.

When my Wife got her 5c, she could not hear it well. She has excellent hearing. The volume was about half my iP 5. I tried everything. Researched the problem and found this suggestion. Toggle on Hearing Aid Mode in Accessibility. Doing so made a huge difference in her volume. I don't hear well, so I tried it on my iP 5, and it did up my volume some. But not as much as hers. Go to Settings> General >Accessibility >hearing aids >Toggle on Hearing Aid Mode. This worked for us. I would like to know if it works on the 6 and 6 Plus.
