I have the iPhone 5c with the iOS 8.02. Why are my hubby and I receiving texts and calls simultaneously?

ios 8.02, my hubby and I now receive txts and calls simultaneously.

We both have iPhone 5c. It is only with family members (I think). Outside calls come in to the proper phone. We never had this problem before and I can't figure out what needs to be changed. It's annoying to have the whole txt dialogue go to both of us as is to have both phones ring when moms or daughters call.

I would say that you are signing in with the same Apple ID on both phones. Go to Settings > Messages and check what addresses are checked.

You must be signed in to the same iCloud account. You need separate iCloud,iMessage and FaceTime ID's. You can share the iTunes Apple ID. That way you can share the apps, music and etc and only pay once for paid items. They have Family Share now, but it's easier to just share the iTunes ID if it's just the two of you.
