iPhone 5s and up Biometric Readers

I've never liked biometric readers, is there a way to bypass this type of Lock? I had a safe once with biometrics and it just wasn't reliable, if the oil from your finger stayed on the reader the next person could, easily, press his finger on the outline of your print and open the safe. And it's not like I'm some freak of nature with super oily fingers...just a normal guy. Needless to say that safe is gone...

Can't you just enter in the pass code? I don't have to use the finger scanner there is an option to cut it off where it won't be a way to unlock it.
