Tiny Umbrella NOT Opening

Okay, I recently got tinyumbrella. I open it ( BTW I have version -7.11.00 ) and it goes to reticulating spines then it just closes. I wait to see if anything would happen, but nothing did.... :crying:
I have newest version of Java
I have old version of itunes
and I am running Windows 8

Right click on it, go down to properties, than click compatability, click run in compatability mode, than choose windows XP (service pack 2). It should work then.
