Cost of ICloud

I paid for my ICloud last year and am being asked to renew. Is there a free ICloud with minimal space? I only want the Find my IPad and IPhone and am storing photos elsewhere. Should I delete my account or is there an ICloud I can use without paying. Thank you. Any help is appreciated.

With iCloud, you can pay for additional storage... and if you don't - you'll revert to the basic 5GB free plan when a previous storage plan expires and you shouldn't have to do anything.
