iPhone 5s sounds alerts and makes calls on it's own

I've had my iphone 5s for about a month and 2 days ago my phone randomly called 2 people. They could hear me in the background talking but the phone was sitting on the counter or in my purse and the screen was locked. It has also been sounding an alert tone, like a text and always in the middle of the night, of course awaking me. At first I thought I imagined it but finally my husband confirmed he heard it too. I was just notified today of a software update to 7.0.6. I hope this will fix the problem. I don't want to randomly call people and I don't want to continue to be awakened in the night for nothing.

I think that is a good idea although the update is very minor. If it continues and especially the calls then i would go to an Apple store for testing or replacement.
