email contacts didnt sync with new mac mini

I'm new to MAC computor and I cant get my email contacts to show up in the email contact book icon when i pull it up.

any thoughts? I'm pretty basic with the computor so simple instructions would be great....thanks so much!

What email service do you use? iCloud, Yahoo, Google, Outlook.com, AOL? Anyway, whichever it is, you *should* be able to go to Setting - Internet Accounts and then select your email service and make sure that "Contacts" is checked to be synced.
