    A contact, who was able to message me from her iPad to mine when my email was Optimum, is unable to now that I have switched my email address to Gmail. I have added my Gmail address to "Send and receive messages" in settings and other contacts are able to send to the Gmail address. What does she need to do differently?

    1. Make sure she is using the correct Apple ID for you.
    2. Make sure she's connected to the Internet.
    3. Make sure you didn't accidentally block her.
