iPhone 5 Shipping/Tracking

Whats the moral of this story? The UPS reps have no clue what they are talking about. They don't have much more information than you do in regards to what is going on with your package. Im sure you will receive it tomorrow.

My phone is being delivered today. Luckily for me my local hub is only 3 hours from KY, so it got here in time to go out this morning.

I sure hope these scans are bogus and my phone is actually somewhere in the states and heading my way on Friday...I really can't think of a scenario where it would truly take this route.

ok so I see you guys have been getting your phones already and I am supposed to receive it on 9/28. In my confirmation email from verizon, it states deliver by 9/28. when I click the "check your order status" link through the email, and put in the preorder confirmation number and the last name it was ordered under, it says expected ship date: 9/28. I just want to see if any of you recognize this happening to you and you received it on the date that it says deliver by. I just really want this phone already!

I'm getting mine Thursday, and I ordered a 32gb white on AT&T (via apple.com) at about 7 am on the 14th. Hope that helps.

I did my preorder the 14th 5:00 am eastern time first said two weeks by oct5, got shipping email said 9/28 and now is out for delivery

just picked mine up that was awesome way better than waiting in any line or the pre orders. Not too bad considering I canceled my preorder and didn't wait in line on day 1 there are some people who preordered on day 1 and still don't have their devices. that is a black 64 gig on Verizon BTW! Had to wait till 1 am but personal pick up rules.

11am CST on the 14th, Black 32GB AT&T, on the truck for delivery today.

Between 2:50 and 2:55 am central time through the Apple Store App. I use AT&T if it matters.

Mine still says "out for delivery".

Mine has done the exact same thing. I'm beginning to wonder if a shipment was destroyed during the ruckus at the falcon dorm (in which 5k police officers were called!)

Mine did the same thing - exactly the same. Could be factory to UPS facility in same city.

Now arrived at Incheon (to be loaded onto the plane!).

Ordered 5am-ish Eastern on 9/14/.
Delivery date (original) Oct 5.
Delivery date (adjusted): Sept 28.
Delivery date (adjusted again): by end of day onThurs 9/27.

Update: I called Apple and got through to a supervisor. She was very helpful and spoke to UPS. Actually, my phone will be delivered tomorrow. Misinformation by the UPS rep as well as their website. As usual, Apple went the extra mile compared to other customer service depts. I received a follow-up email by the Apple supervisor, providing additional help. So the bottom line is the phone will be delivered well ahead of schedule.

Final entry: After all this, my phone was delivered to my office this morning!!!! Yeah!!!

Okay the shipping for this is really dumb! It was in Norfolk, VA which is like 10-15 mins away from me, now it's in Richmond,VA which is 2 hours away from me. What the heck? It went to Richmond only to come back to Norfolk / Portsmouth, VA. Crazyness!!

the ground hub may be in Richmond. There are not usually trucks that go out for delivery from airports (at least not in our small city). They leave the airport & go to ground shipping hub (truck depot) and get loaded for delivery. That could be a couple of hours in any direction... it is actually "efficient" the same way airport hub-and spoke routs are convenient for airlines: they can suck for us, but make more logistical sense for the shipper.

Weird how there doesn't seem to be a correlation with previous shipment dates/when you ordered and when the new delivery date is.

I initially ordered mine around 3:50a.m. on the 14th. The website said the delivery date was Sept 21. When I received my confirmation email, however, the delivery date had been changed to October 2nd. On the 22nd, however, I received an email saying my iPhone was being shipped and has a delivery date of September 28th, yet as of now the phone is in Korea...

Meanwhile others who ordered later and had a delivery date as late as October 15th have already received their iPhones.
