Would an IPhone 6 from Bell, unlocked work in Germany?

My son is going to Germany to work for 8 months and was wondering if his phone which is thru Bell,(Canada) if he unlocked it, would it be compatible on Germany's networks?

Yes! Since all 3 available in Germany are GSM carriers, as is Bell, it will work.
