Why does spotlight search not find a calendar entry from 2 years ago.

I was looking for a calendar entry which was on May 7 of 2015. Spotlight search did not find it but after checking the entry was there. Am I doing something wrong or are my settings wrong?

If I recall correctly, Spotlight only searches up to one year in the past and up to one year in the future.
