When you tap on the message icon it take a long time to open it. Is there a problem?

Maybe. What kind of message are you referring to? Email, iMessage, SMS, FaceBook, Twitter or what?

There is no "edit" page in the Messages app. As been asked, "What kind of message are you referring to?". Be specific so we can help.

I dont think there is a problem. Your phone was probably lagging for a short period of time. Probably best to wait it out or clear our your history apps and/or restart your phone.
