skype said recording skype call

i was on a skype call and along the top it said in a read banner recording skype call.

also when that came up the video feed from the other person froze and they could not see me at all.

there was no way to get it to stop

what happened there

I personally have not run into that situation before on Skype. Have you tried to contact support to ask them?

what happened there

Is it possible that the person you were video calling with was trying record the video call without you knowing?
