I have been using Mac OS and Apple hardware since 2008 when our engineering company decided to shift from PC’s to Mac and we never looked back.
Over the years I have had many of my friends and clients complain about issues relating to the Mac operating system and the first question I always ask is are you current with your system updates?
You would really be surprised on how many tell me no and don’t even know how to check the status of them on their machine!!
I have made it a point since the early days to select the automatic updates and even then, once every couple of months I actually go into the system preferences/software updates and verify the updates are current.
I can’t begin to tell you how many issues I have solved on friends and clients machines by simply doing the system updates and verifying they are current.
I know this has probably been talked about before on the forums, but I still remind my Mac OS friends and clients to stay current and avoid any issues down the road.
