So, iMessage is only on the iP4S and not iOS5? I thought that it was going to be available for any device that could run iOS5.

It's a io5 feature so if your device can run it it'll work.

I'm really excited for iMessage! I miss when everybody I knew had a blackberry and we all used BBM and now most of my friends are on iPhones so I should get some use out of this.

imessage is part of ios 5 so the iPhone 3gs, 4 and 4S will be able to use it..

I Really wanted the iPad to use my iPhone to send SMS messages. That way I wouldn't have to pick up my iPhone when someone without an I device texts me. iOS 7 perhaps?

That's very interesting, I haven't noticed the ability to do that. From what I've seen so far, my iPad is pretty much limited to iMessage. I'll look a bit more into that, because that would be pretty neat.

No, that's not possible. An iMessage conversation taking place on an iPhone can be continued on an iPad (or iPod Touch), but not an SMS conversation.
