I have a 2013 Ford Escape with sync.. why isn't it letting me know when I have gotten texts?

I have a 2013 Ford Escape with sync.. it will not let me know if I got txts or read them to me since I got my new iPhone 6s.... anyone else have this problem? what did you do to fix it???? thanks Dave

If your car has that feature like my 2014 Honda Accord I had to delete my 5S under Phone Preferences in the car and add and sync my new 5. I then had to go back in to the text section and redo the settings there. I am sure more than likely these things are similar and would try that using the owners manual from your car which nobody uses anymore.
