Background

Im an iPhone newb, I got a 16GB 3gs yesterday and absolutely love it. Its a factory unlocked phone.

I was wondering if i can change the black default background (behind the app icons) to something else without jailbreaking it?

Welcome to the wonderful world of Apple. You may not change backgrounds, icons, email tones, run apps in the background, and the list goes on.........

........That's unless you jailbreak. Go to the jailbreak section in this forum and read every sticky and any other info that you can about jailbreaking. That's, of course, you're really wanting to change that background.

Nobody told the guy to go ahead and jailbreak. He was mearly pointed to a place where he could read more about it.
