This is totally the news I was waiting for (but didn't know it was going to be included)

I am going to upgrade my 6 to a 6s Plus this year as I use my phone as a GPS unit and the larger screen will be invaluable.

Anyone else going to do that too?

And of course it's not available in Canada... And if bell, Rogers, and telus have any say probably never...

Seems pricey. Last week I sold my iPhone 6 128GB Verizon phone for $680 without Applecare+. Bearing that in mind....

A 128GB 6S on Apple Upgrade would cost $490 after 12 months when it is time to trade-in on the next phone.

Outright, a 128GB 6S with Applecare+ and tax is $1,000. To sell that phone a week or two before the keynote for $700 would yield a $300 total cost vs the $490 total cost of this program. Yeah it's only $150 to $200 but that is still money saved.

This is attractive to people who don't want/have the means to spot the full price up front...they pay more for convenience. I'm personally not interested, I'd rather do like finn and save a couple hundred bucks in the end to apply to the next variant.

The $32/month forever for a 16GB phone is a horrible value. Save a little each month, and plunk it down every September for a device you can keep, pass down or sell.
