Default Problems with catching my first Pokmon

I can't seem to catch any of the starter Pokmons. I tried everything. Redowloading the app, restarting it, walking around, but nothing seems to work. Any advice? Has this happened to anyone else?

Where are you having trouble? Are you able to login or are you having trouble just catching the Pokmon when they show up?

When you throw the Pokballs at them, you need to hold your finger on the ball until the circle around the Pokmon gets smaller, then flick it straight to the Pokmon to capture it. Takes a bit of practice, but you start out with 50 Pokballs.

If you can see the map and the 3 starter Pokemon on the screen but it is not allowing you to tap one and go to the capture screen you may have to delete and reinstall the game. Hope that fixes it!

You don't tap on the Pokemon. You press and hold your finger on the Pokeball and flick/slide your finger up on the screen so that the Pokeball lands on the Pokemon.
