3gs 4.2.1 to 4.3 Upgrade Help Needed! Want to run GTA3

Hello guys, first of all let me just say I dont know much when it comes jailbraking and Iphone terminology.

My phone is unlocked and jailbroken and I am using simple mobile as my provider.

The phone is 4.2.1 with Modem Firmware 06.15.00.

I would like to go to 4.3 so that I can play Grand Theft Auto III on it, what would be the easiest way to accomplish this? I know that GTA3 doesnt support 3gs but I have heard that it will still run, just a little slow.

It says I have SHSH: ios 4.1, 4.2.1r1, 4.3.3 4.3.5

any help will be appretiated.

You will have to save the 4.3.3 shsh first and use tiny umbrella to act as the server .. Then download the Ipsw file for 4.3.3 make a custom Ipsw file from it selecting the option to preserve the baseband the. Do a shift restore in iTunes select the custom 4.3.3 file u made and install

Then re apply your unlock using ultrasnow in Cydia

Thanks for the quick reply! but wow that sounds really complicated... I originally had a store jailbreak it for me... I am afraid I will mess something up if I attempt this, and I need my phone to be working...

do you have any tips, suggestions? or better yet, is there a noob friendly tutorial on how to do this process?

Try searching it on youtube there is tons of videos on jailbreaking.
