iPhone backups no longer available through iTunes

I just upgraded to 4.3.3 on my 3GS and jailbroke it again. I am trying to restore from an older backup to get all of my text messages back. The problem is that iTunes does not recognize that I have backups anymore. If I try to restore, it doesn't give me the drop down list of backups to choose from, but just immediately wants to download 4.3.5 and install it, which I don't want to do.

Any clue what's going on? I've verified that the actual backups exist in the Mobilesync folder, so that's not it.

Nevermind, I just started from scratch and reinstalled the 4.3.3 firmware and was able to select a backup to restore from when it finished this time.
