Is there a way to prevent iTunes backup?

Just wondering if there's a way to prevent the iTunes backup EVERY time I try to sync my phone. I always hit the little x to cancel the backup, but it gets pretty annoying. Can I just disable the backup option and back it up manually whenever I feel like it??

On windows press CTRL+ATL+DELETE and find applemobilebackup and end process.

No it is very simple but I backup a couple times a day so my backups take seconds.

I don't have "applemobilebackup." I have "applemobiledevicehelper" and "iTunesHelper."

Hmmm....

Is this the only way to disable it? There's no option within iTunes??

You have to do it while your iPhone is backing up.

Are you talking about syncing or talking about backups? I haven't seen my iPhone try to backup on every connection, I've seen it try to sync, but if you set "manually manage" it shouldn't do that either.

When iTunes says backig up iPhone at the top press ctrl+alt+delete and it will say applemobilebackup and hit end process.

Once I do that will it stop the "backing up" every time I sync it from that point forward? Or at least until I restart my computer?

Only until your next restart or perhaps your next press of "Sync"

Just back up more often, lol. Then it only takes a second unless you have recently loaded a huge app or something.
