Mario Run making my 7 Plus run Hott ?

Installed Mario Run this morning and after playing the game for about 10 minutes I had the charge my phone.
I noticed the phone was pretty hot on the back through an Otterbox Symmetry case while charging. This has never happen before.
My phone never gets hot at all even when charging,

I think it's Mario Run. Anyone notice this problem after playing Mario Run?

My 6s Plus did too and my daughters

We played more than we should have last night. I was on my 7 Plus and my son on his iPad mini 2. Neither got. Slightly warm but no more so than any other game played for more than 15 minutes.

My 7 Plus did not get hot while playing the game only when I stopped and hooked up the charger.

I personally did not notice this. Although my phone wasn't in a case or anything if that makes a difference.
