let your phone drain to zero where it shuts itself off- then charge to 100%- see if that helps

I had tried to put screenshots of my usage but not sure why they did not show up. It was like highest app usage was like 24% and 22% for stuff, then the rest was small amounts. But it had 40 minutes usage and 2 hours standby time. I don't often leave much running in the background, but maybe I have been using it more than often, but it just seems like it was flying thru the battery pretty quickly.

Here is pics if my usage. But it seems it's draining kind of quick 4% in 40 minutes? And all that standby time.

It's probably because your iPhone is syncing your photos with iCloud, as you mentioned in another thread. That eats through battery, which is why automatic iCloud backups only take place when the phone is plugged in.

Also using iMessage and Facebook can drain the battery. It shows 37 minutes of usage shiv isn't too surprising to take you to 96%.

What does it look like if you tap the little clock here -- can you post that?

Few days since I checked this but it probably had a good amount of time being used. I just tried it now. Maybe on some stuff I need to make it not be used when I'm not on the page. Alot of background activity stuff. Is that because I have some apps using my location even when I'm not on the app.

Could be. But to me it's silly to disable stuff you actually USE. So look at the results and see if there are any changes to be made. Background activity, etc., on some apps can drain the phone and may not be necessary.

There's about 3 apps that will drain my battety too fast. I try to keep those swiped out of multitasking as much as possible. It seems to work for me. Background App Refresh is used sparingly. Poor signal strength always hurts.

I discovered that if I was logged into the Messages app on my desktop that my phone battery would drain twice as fast. Seems like the act of sending my texts to the computer was taking more juice from the phone. Now I only log into Messages when I actually want to use it and log out in between uses.

This method worked fine until I upgraded to an iphone 6 running iOS 9. Now the battery is draining faster than ever before - specifically due to the messages app. Not sure how to fix it this time.
