help getting mail

I have 6 email accounts on my phone, and all are set to not auto fetch mail, only fetch when I open the mail app. When I open the mail app, only the first account fetches mail, and the others get nothing until I hit the refresh button at the bottom of the screen.
Is there a way to have it fetch ALL new mail for ALL accounts at once when I open the mail app, as opposed to having to hit the refresh button?

as I understand it they all should fetch when you open your mail app. it just may take some time as you have sooooo many e-mail accounts. perhaps your not waiting long enough for the phone to go through all it has to do to do this?

unfortunately no, that's not it. it will only fetch the first accounts mail and then nothing, unless I hit refresh, even if I let it sit for a while.

When you open your mail. Do you go to the "all inboxes" tab?
