SMS Message Alert

I got my new iPhone 3g yesterday and have worked out a few things on it, but one thing it doesn't seem to do that a conventional mobile / cell does is vibrate when an SMS is received.

I switched the alert to none and when I got a message it didn't vibrate. Is there anyway that you can receive an SMS with no alert tune but with vibrate?

Under Settings=> Sounds. Be sure that under Silent that Vibrate is turned on. Then when you flip the side switch down for vibrate, you should get a vibrate instead of a sound. That is what mine does at least. I keep mine on Vibrate for most of the day.

You can also set it up to vibrate along with a audible alert.
