I need help

I tried to turn my phone off and I've been stuck on the swirling circle for a good while now.
All the buttons work, never dropped in water or rained on, not jailbroken, has taken no serious falls, never had any problems, and has basically been well taken care of the whole year I've had it.
I have no idea what's going on, but I'd like the circle to stop swirling.

Have you tried holding the home and power button for 10sec.? Do a hard restart that way, if that doesn't remedy the issue, you may have to restore...
