when i send a iMessage to a buddy with a iPhone it usually sends as a text message anybody have any idea why? only now and then it will send as a iMessage!

it always sends a iMessage when I'm sending from my iPad or my mac.

Doesn't it depend on whether your buddy is using wifi or cell??

From my understanding, if you send a message to another iPhone and they have poor reception, data turned off, or iMessage off, it will be delivered as an SMS text. Also yourMac & iPad can't send a text but will deliver an iMessage regardless and your friend should receive them when one of the previously mentioned are no longer true.

imessage has to be turned on at both ends. if either party has it turned off it switches over to sms
