If you are using a Windows or Chrome OS laptop, you can use the iCloud Drive section of icloud.com. If you are using OS X Yosemite or later on a Mac, then you should be able to retrieve the document from the iCloud Drive section of the Finder. In both cases this assumes that your document is saved in iCloud Drive.
