More members are finding an interest in Apple products and service, and many of them desire to use iCloud. However, some of them, especially the people who've owned iPads for a while but hadn't quite warmed up to using iCloud services, are discovering that the iCloud option is greyed are. In other words, they are unable to tap on iCloud and set it up on their iPad. If you're like me, I enable restrictions on my device for several reasons. I have a young son who sometimes use my device and may intentionally or accidentally tap on something he shouldn't have. Having said that, it is safe to understand that one of the primary reasons that iCloud is greyed out on the iPad is because the owner enabled a restriction on it. Specifically, he or she went to Settings->General->Restrictions and then under the "Allow Changes" section, tapped on "Don't allow Changes". That action prompted the following apps options to be greyed out in the Settings menu:
iCloud
Messages
FaceTime
Twitter
Facebook
Flickr
Vimeo
and possibly a few others. To make those options accessible again, simply go to the above mentioned setting and select "Allow Changes".
Now, if you do not have restrictions enabled, try rebooting your device. As always, feel free to share any other tip or experience in regard to this topic. Take care....
