MobileMe transition results in @mac.com email

I've just switched me MobileMe account to an iCloud account but my email address is now ending in @mac.com rather than @me.com!

Anyway to get it back to @me?

Both .mac and .me will work....I use .mac as well......

People are daft though. They wear the badge of tech illiteracy with honour. Telling them my email ends in @me.com and then sending emails from @mac.com will end up leading to questions I don't want.

Also, I don't like @mac.com when I know my email is @me.com. Can Apple change it?
