why is ther a half moon by my battery

i am having trouble getting sound for texts and there is a half moon by my battery after the last update

That's "do not disturb" mode and it's on on your phone. Depending on your device you can either swipe up to access the command center and hit the button that has the half moon in it or you can go into settings and disable it as well
