Why does my (ring)tone not show on my iphone?

I bought a ringtone through iTunes. it played ok for a couple of months until I updated ios on my phone. Now it has dissappeared from my iPhone totally!!
it is still showing as a ringtone on my computer - I've tried everything I can think of to get it back on my phone but NOTHING works!
Help please :-(

Does it show up in your 'Purchased' section on your phone in the iTunesStore?

No - it's not showing there or anywhere else on my phone. When I have my phone connected to my laptop it shows under 'tones' on my device but nothing under my phone. I've tried turning my phone on and off, but that doesn't work. I also tried to drag it on iTunes but it wouldn't let me.
