Why is my iPad getting the email error message saying the mail server is not responding?

iPad email error message says mail server is not responding . . .

MAC desktop and second ipad have no problem with email - same email accounts. How do I resolve?

The first step in this cases is to erase your email account from the device that is giving you trouble and then re-add it, usually that solves the issue.
