How can I delete videos I took with my phone?

I can't delete videos I took with my iphone. They are not in the camera roll. They are in photos>albums>videos. I can click select and select videos I want to delete, but the delete button is greyed out.
If I go to settings>general>storage>videos there is no data. If I go into iTunes on the laptop I sync with, I cannot find the videos anywhere. Very frustrated! Please help.

The trash can is greyed out because you have to select the video. Once the check mark is on the video, you should be able to delete it.
