I don't know. You may have to restore it via iTunes, but if the device is running iOS 7 or above AND the Find My iPhone feature is enabled, you will have to login to the iCloud website to disable and erase the device remotely or you will not be able to use the device whatsoever and there will be NOTHING that anyone can do for you.
