Changing from individual to family membership

I pay for individual Apple Music and have just paid the other day for a month.

I now would like to upgrade to a family plan membership and I am the family organiser .

My question is can I upgrade and just pay the ?5 difference as when I press it it says it will charge me ?14.99 and I've just paid ?10 last week so don't want to pay another full membership.

I would contact Apple Support and ask them to be 100% certain.

I tried looking for an answer to your question but I couldn't find anything. I remember someone else posting about this a while back and, from what I remember, Apple prorated it. The poster saw two separate charges but they were both less than a full month and came out to somewhere in between $10 and $15 total.
