I just got it (not bought, though) and it has blown me out of the water so far.
It certainly feels like a modern phone in everyday use, compared to my previous phones.
The screen resolution might give away it's age, but even then probably only when you compare it side by side with newer phones with the same screen size.
Other than that, the iPhone 5s is still amazingly fast and is definitely worth buying in my opinion.
And with the iPhone 6 being larger (right?) the 5s might even remain popular as a new phone.
