Why Does My iPhone Say iPhone Activated?

Hi,
I have an iPhone 4s that is Sprint unlocked. I am going to sell it so I reset it and all that stuff. I wanted to take it through the paces and pretend like I was setting it up as a new iPhone. When I got to the SIM activation screen it says "iPhone Activated." And then in small letters below that "Device is activated on CDMA US network. International roaming requires a SIM." I have no idea what this means. It almost sounds like it is blacklisted or locked to somebody's account but I do not know. Any help is greatly appreciated!

It sounds like it is attached to someone's account on Sprint. Have you contacted Sprint to check?
