Why does it sound like a call has just ended?

I hear a sound coming from my phone like I have just hung up from speaking to someone. Is my phone tapped...or what could it be?

Assuming you have Whatsapp on your phone: If you have your phone in Do Not Disturb mode and you receive a Whatsapp call while your screen is off, that's the sound you will hear if you haven't answered that call.

Open Whatsapp and check if you missed a call on it.
