Why can't they get time zone support right?

I want the time of events to stay the time I set no matter what zone I am in or what site sent the calender info.

In settings, General, look for Date and Time. Toggle off "Set Automatically."

Go to Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Time Zone Override
