Why am I receiving texts from a number I’ve blocked?

I blocked a person on my iPhone but the texts they send are still going to my watch. I have the watch set to mirror my phone. What’s going on?

Is it a known caller? If it is a spammer, they are able to spoof their number so that what shows up is the blocked number, even though the actual number is different (thus letting it get through). That's why my phone allows calls and texts ONLY from those in my contact list. Anyone else can leave a message.

You might try unpairing the Watch and iPhone. Restart both. Then pair back. See if that works.
