Question What chargers does someone need when traveling to eastern Europe?

My cousin will be traveling to Eastern Europe next month, specifically Poland and Ukraine. She'll be there for about two weeks. Can anyone tell me what kind of chargers she'll need?

You can use the same apple chargers just make sure she picks up a couple of multi-adapters, they usually sell at the airport. You plug the US charger into the adapter and then the electrical outlet.

If she is not using an official apple charger. She should make sure that her chargers are capable of 220-240V, US is 120V.

And that they are 50Hz as well. North America is on 60Hz. This can cause clock drifts on the device using 240V 50Hz, when expecting 240V, 60Hz.

Apple chargers usually are 100-240V, 50-60Hz, so they should be okay. Same for most major computer OEMs (Dell, Lenovo, Microsoft). This will be indicated on the charger itself; Apple has it next to the plug, in grey on dark grey.

P.S.: Using a 110-125V only device in a 220V-240V outlet can lead to an unpleasant surprise. Ask me how I know‽
