While I think it’s great she got her phone back it was an absolutely stupid thing to do. She could have gotten herself and others killed by containing him. Wait for the cops and let them handle it.

And don’t leave your things unsupervised at a bar. (Or anywhere else)

Valid points, and her poor Mother was knocked down in the confrontation.

Any LEO would tell you not to confront. A phone is not worth risking your life or getting hurt over. We had a kid get killed here a few years ago because he wouldn’t give up his iPad. I’ve told my kids if they’re in a situation just give it up and get away. That stuff can be replaced, they can’t.
