verizon insurance vs applecare+

Just wondering if anyone could tell me the pros and cons and what they have and think is better between verizon top tier insurance vs apple care whats better and whats worse as i have no clue haha

Verizon/Asurion covers loss&theft. AppleCare+ does not.

Apple is raising the costs for replacements - both out of coverage (now $269 for 5C/5S) and per replacement incident (now $79) on their AppleCare+ plan. Curious, what do the carriers charge for these fees?

AT&T charges $6.99/month which also covers lost and theft protection for the iPhone. With a $200 deductible.
