Most people that use Hey Siri don't need most of the steps. Just activate Siri, ignore the prompt and you are good to go.

That is all I had to do because I was already using Hey Siri.... if you are not, then you are correct, lots of steps.

No, no touching any buttons, just plug in and say, 'hey Siri' anytime. Works great.
