Apple finally introduced NFC technology in the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, but it looks like you won't be able to use the feature to pair devices, share files or connect to NFC-enabled speakers. According to Cult of Mac, who received confirmation from an Apple spokeswoman, the NFC functionality will be locked down to Apple Pay, with developers not getting access to the chip for at least a year.
